Events at MHPC

Join Pastor Amy at 11:00 am for a time of prayer and group wellness walking. This is open to the congregation and to the community. We will be walking and talking with community members to see and learn more about what is happening in the community. We will walk for 30 minutes or more. Join when you can! Strollers and pets are welcome.

Our middle and high school youth will be gathering with other youth from the Baltimore Presbytery. We'll meet at MHPC at 5:00 pm and travel together to Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church for this event. Contact Pastor Amy for additional info!

Hot cocoa! Candy! Costume parade! Come out and join the fun from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at Mount Hebron High School, located at 9440 Old Frederick Road (Route 99) in Ellicott City. This event is sponsored by the Mount Hebron Marching Unit (MtHMU), MTHOCA, and MHPC. The MtHMU will lead the costume parade and perform a short concert starting at 6:45 pm in the West (Student) Parking Lot. For those who would like to decorate their car/parking space, the West Parking Lot will open to participants at 5:45 pm and close to cars at 6:30 pm. Participants MUST be dressed in costume and should bring plenty of candy to share. Additional parking will be available in the East (Faculty) Parking Lot.

At 5:00 pm, we are going to kick-off our Confirmation Class for all youth 7th grade and above! We will be gathering at Janice's home. Please Contact Pastor Amy if you would like to join! In the early church, new believers would spend time studying and learning about the Christian faith, sometimes for years, before making a public profession of faith and officially joining the church. Confirmation connects to this ancient practice, because it is an intentional time we have set apart to grow (even though we know that we will continue to grow in faith throughout our lives). It is a time to share our questions and doubts about faith, and it is a time for us to claim for ourselves what it is that we believe about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the Bible, and the church. Confirmation is about a personal relationship with God, and how we choose to live out that relationship in all that we say and do.

Our Confirmation Class (for youth 7th grade and above) will be meeting at MHPC at 5:00 pm.

NEW DATE AND TIME! Visit the MHPC booth at the HoCo Pride Festival! This event is being held from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at Merriweather Park at Symphony Woods in Columbia. Look for the church sign!

This Sunday in worship, CRE Gerald Heminger, Jr. from the Dakota Partnership will preach at MHPC. We will have a reception following worship for our Baltimore Dakota Partnership Team.
